KDB Development Bank Rebranding

As a national bank, KDB’s brand was strongly associated with stability and reliability, but lacked resonance with younger audiences. To expand beyond B2B and engage future customers, a new brand system was needed that could embody ESG values, innovation, and friendliness.
I focused on reimagining KDB’s identity to feel digital-ready, scalable, and appealing to the MZ generation. The project built a foundation for KDB to move from a traditional image toward a more future oriented financial brand.

KDB’s brand was traditionally tied to stability and reliability, but this limited its ability to reach younger audiences and B2C customers. The lack of digital appeal and graphical impact made it difficult to communicate new values such as ESG and personal finance. Marketing assets like cards, brochures, and outdoor ads lacked scalability, weakening the brand’s overall presence. To stay competitive, KDB needed a refreshed identity that balanced trust with innovation and friendliness.

The solution was a youthful, digital-ready BI/CI system supported by consistent colors, motifs, and scalable graphic elements. A renewed mascot strategy combined ESG trust with approachability, helping the bank connect with MZ-generation customers. The unified system was applied seamlessly across apps, cards, documents, and outdoor ads to ensure brand consistency. As a result, KDB gained a comprehensive BI/CI system, key visuals, and mascot assets that repositioned it as both credible and future-focused.
